Frequently asked Questions

How to correctly fit your facemask?
Before wearing or taking off your facemask it is good hygiene to wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds, then gently remove the mask from the pack.

MOST IMPORTANT – Before placing the facemask on your face be sure the COPPER CREED logo and COPPER ION INFUSION markings are on the exterior of your face. The outer layer is waterproof and needs to be worn on the exterior for your protection and for the facemask to be breathable.

Do the masks come in different sizes?

One size fits all. The facemasks are flexible and generally fit almost everyone.

Does the mask prevent COVID-19 transmission? What does the facemask prevent or protect me from?

The CDC advises the uses of cloth face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19 transmission and to help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. The facemask separates your face, mouth, and nose from the outside world. It helps reduce facial touching, and the double-layer design helps create a barrier from coughing and sneezing. The exterior waterproof layer provides protection from airborne particles while remaining breathable.

What are the facemasks made of?

The exterior layer is a waterproof warp knitting fabric blend of 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The interior layer is a nano copper ion fabric blend of 85% polyester and 15% spandex with a copper ion component of 2526PPM.

How long do the copper qualities remain in the facemask?

The properties of copper found in the facemask’s material maintain potency for more than 50 washes. At 50 washed the potency rate drops to 70%.

How do I care for the facemask? Is it machine washable?

We recommend that you wash the facemask by hand with a mild detergent and warm water and then allow to air dry. We do not recommend the use of a washing machine.

Can these facemasks be worn by medical personnel?

The facemask is not meant for medical purposes.

Can copper be bad for your health?

Copper is essential to your health. If you are allergic to copper or have Wilsons disease you should avoid copper, but for everyone else there is no harm just benefits.  Copper promotes blood circulation and good heath.

How often do I need to wash the facemask?

Routine washing of face coverings is recommended by the CDC.  It is suggested to wash once a week or after 30-40 hours of wear.

How tightly will the mask fit against my face?

Thanks to the adjustable toggle feature, the mask will fit snuggly against your face and around your ears and is comfortable enough to wear all day.

What does the copper do? What does “copper ion infused technology” mean?

Copper has been shown to have anti-microbial properties. Copper ions are infused in the interior layer of the mask. Our copper ion infused fabrics are properly engineered with the correct PPM and are known to kill all known viruses at a rate of 99.9%.
